Adjustable Tracheostoma Valve II (ATSV II)
The Blom-Singer Adjustable Tracheostoma Valve II is an important element of Blom-Singer Voice Restoration. Designed to offer a full range of sensitivity settings for the user, the ATSV II allows easy adjustment while in place by simply rotating the faceplate to the most comfortable position.

The ATSV II allows a patient hands free operation of the stoma, eliminating the need to use the thumb to control the air passage. When used in conjunction with a voice prosthesis, it enables hands-free, conversational speech.
After proper fitting, the diaphragm portion of the valve rests in an open position and may be adjusted by rotating the diaphragm/faceplate for relaxed, quiet breathing, or routine physical activity. During speech, a slight increase in exhalation causes the diaphragm to close and divert air through the prosthesis. At the completion of speech, the diaphragm automatically reopens as exhalation decreases.
The ATSV II consists of a body and removable diaphragm/faceplate. The silicone diaphragm is permanently attached to the undersurface of the faceplate. The crossbar prevents clothing from blocking the diaphragm and permits adjustment of the ATSV II.
The Adjustable Tracheostoma Valve II is compatible with a heat and moisture exchanger. By fitting the ATSV II with the Blom-Singer HumidiFilter Cap and HumidiFilters, it acts as a filter for heat and moisture exchange to reduce dryness, mucous secretions, and coughing. The ATSV II and components are available individually or as a Starter Kit. An instruction manual is included.

The Starter Kit includes: one complete ATSV II and, for both standard and large sizes, the kit also includes: two Housings, regular Adhesive Tape Discs (5 each), thin Adhesive Tape Discs (5 each), regular Adhesive Foam Discs (5 each), thin Adhesive Foam Discs (5 each), 2 oz. bottle Silicone Adhesive with brush cap, HumidiFilter Cap and 7 HumidiFilters.
The Blom-Singer® ATSV II is available in a Starter Kit with HumidiFilter Cap or as individual components.

The removable Diaphragm/Faceplate may be ordered separately to fit an existing ATSV II body.
Blom-Singer HumidiFilter ATSV II Cap and 7 Foam Filters
The HumidiFilter ATSV II Cap is a twist-on plastic filter cap that fits over the ATSV II. It is designed to provide the laryngectomee with humidified, warmed and filtered air whether the patient is in dry or humid surroundings, indoors or outside. Comes with specially treated HumidiFilters (7 pk).
